Akbank Short Film Festival

About

The festival provides opportunity for the emerging film-makers to showcase their prowess by supporting novel ideas and aims to contribute to the short film culture. It consists of two main sections, namely the National Competition and International Competition.

The preselection jury can recommend a film to participate in the non-competing section which is called «Perpective».

Awards

«The Best Film» award in national and international competitions include 5000 USD each and will be granted to the film owners by Akbank Art Center.

Rules

• Films must be no longer than 30 minutes.
• Films which were produced after January 1st, 2022 can apply. Films that have participated in national or international contests before - except for Akbank Short Film Festival- can still apply for the contest.

The applicants must send the followings to Akbank Art Center:

• Scan of fully completed and signed application form.
• Protected Vimeo link to the film with English subtitles.
• 2 high quality stills from the film (jpeg format, at least 1920x1080 pixels).
• English dialogue text of the film.
