Heading to the regional local history olympiad, Vova and Kostya accidentally fall behind their bus and find themselves alone in the harsh taiga. Their guiding star becomes Polina, a Khanty girl, for whom the taiga is home. To reach their destination, the former rivals must become a real team, navigating dangerous rivers, treacherous swamps, and their own disagreements.
