2015 | Documentary | 40 min. | Russia
The film tells about Russian nonconformist artist Vladimir Yashke, who regardless of crushing reality keeps colors of memories in his soul and shares them through his paintings. This story is about relationships of man and authority.
There is a time lapse between an insight and definite actions. It is not clear what comes earlier. It depends on the movie. But you are always searching for the first one. Often, the film starts to "shoot" or "edit" itself on its own. It's a real pleasure, however dangerous it might be. Is a catharsis needed? It is desirable. Not always possible. I never think about an audience, I rather imagine someone understanding and empathic I'd like to share my experience with and expose my soul sincerely.
