Dmitry Davydov is a film director, producer, and screenwriter, honored with the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). He was born in 1983 in the village of Amga, Yakutia. Davydov graduated from a pedagogical institute with a degree in "Primary School Teacher." His career path took him from being a teacher to a school principal. His interest in cinema and his desire to pursue it professionally emerged during his early years working at the school. After some time, Dmitry wrote the script for his first feature film, "Bonfire in the Wind," which he shot in 2014. The film was released in 2016 and was presented at more than 20 international film festivals. In 2019, Dmitry released the films "The River" and "There is No God But Me." In 2020, his film "The Scarecrow" premiered, winning the Grand Prix, the award from the Guild of Film Scholars and Critics, and the award for Best Actress at the 31st Kinotaur Open Russian Film Festival.
