The girl Nadia was born with pathology. There is a large red-maroon hemangioma on her small face. Living in the village, Nadia constantly faces the hostility and ridicule of others, but her own family does not accept her for who she is. Grandma is trying to eliminate the disease with all the religious methods available to her, and mom is constantly dreaming about surgery in Moscow. And Nadia just wants to be herself and do her favorite thing, namely to sing in the choir. Having got into another mess, she still finds herself in a Moscow hospital, where she meets with the same children as her. Having eliminated the physical problem, nothing changes in the life of the main character's family, which leads them to think that the real problem is not in a small birthmark, but in themselves.
