Biography

Occupation Screenwriter / Director. Graduated from Russian State University for Cinematography (VGIK), faculty of film directing. The first short film «DVOE» («The Two») has won Grand Prix at the Russian Film Festival «Kinotavr», and was selected in programs at film festivals in Cannes, Hollywood, Montreal, Turin, Barcelona, Kiev and elsewhere. The feature film debut «THE MAN OF NO RETURN» was selected to the VPRO Tiger Award competition at the Rotterdam IFF, Has won SFCC (the French Trade union of critic of cinema). Has directed the films which were Released in Russia (470 theaters) one of them was awarded as the «Best Fantasy Film» at the «Russian Annual Award of Science fiction, Fantasy & Horror films» (2010).
