"Around the World on a Container Ship" is a documentary about professional sailor Alexander, a second engineer on a massive container ship, who embarks on a five-month voyage across the Pacific Ocean. This is more than just a captivating journey; it's a story about the daily routine of a ship's crew on the open ocean, told by a sailor. Viewers will learn how to cope with a main engine failure in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, how to repair fuel systems in the middle of the workday, and how to survive a force eleven storm. In our film, the protagonist will show not only the technically complex work of sailors, but also their daily life, leisure activities, and—most importantly—will tell us why real life always remains on shore.
