Biography
Born in 1955 in a military town in the Khabarovsk Territory. He spent his childhood in Siberia, served in the ranks of the SA in Estonia. Since 1976 he has been working in journalism in Kazakhstan. In 1991 he graduated from the screenwriting faculty of VGIK (workshop of N. Figurovsky and A. Balikhin). Since 1990 he has been shooting feature films, documentaries and serials at the studios of St. Petersburg, Minsk, Alma-Ata, Moscow, Warsaw. Winner and laureate of a number of international and Russian film festivals. Member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, the Guild of Filmmakers of the Russian Federation.
