Biography

From the very childhood I had a fancy for photos and cinema. My parents were teachers at school. In 2012 I moved to Moscow and got a job in the photo studios. In a few years I began making video. In 2017 I signed a contract with the production center form Dubai. I began my career as a cameraman, studied editing, sound design and colouring. Fruitfully worked with the commercial and documentary films director. In 2019 I returned to Russia and now work at the commercials sphere. I study directing and scriptwriting.

Tanya Chekhova is a Moscow-based film director specializing in documentary and commercial formats. She captures real people’s life with a modern and stylish look and feel. Her favorite topics are music. Recently Tanya has done commercial projects with Levi’s, Red Bull, Sberbank, Paulig, Yandex etc. Her professional motto is “people are real”.
