About

Switzerland’s only festival dedicated to experimental film and video and one of the eight swiss film festivals supported by the Swiss Department of Culture. The festival provides a forum for filmmakers, video artists, curators and their audience to gather and explore the perception of images, different aesthetic strategies and new ways of using technology in experimental film and video works. It's international reputation attracts a wide range of professionals and enthusiasts from Zurich, Europe and around the world.

A large variety of contemporary and experimental films and videos (videoart, essay), digital & graphic productions, experimental documentaries, innovative animations and music videos, retrospectives and thematic programs as well as live acts, installations, discussions and workshops are presented during the festival.

Awards

The total price amount is CHF 3000.

Rules

We are looking for: experimental films (35mm / 16mm / 8mm), videos (experimental,videoart, essay,....) innovative animations, experimental digital & graphic productions (to be screened), experimental documentaries & innovative music videos.

Only works produced after 1st October 2021 are applicable.

Maximum duration is 50 min (exceptions may apply). No feature films will be accepted.

Send by post:

• a preview copy,
• a printed and filled out entry form,
• the author's video-/filmography in German, French, Italian or English.

Additional Information

Participants may submit a maximum of 3 works.

All preview tapes will be sent at the expense and sole risk of the candidates, who hereby discharge the organiser from any liability.

If you wish to have the preview material returned, please send the equivalent of 20 USD. The other works will remain in the archive.

Shipment must be declared as: ''art work for cultural purpose only" "no commercial value''. Maximum value 2 USD.

Works being shown at the festival will be insured at the cost of the copy during the festival.
