The largest U.S. independent film festival.
About
The most important festival for US independent productions. The section "World Cinema" is dedicated to foreign films and offers an opportunity to discover new talents. For foreign fimmakers the "World Cinema Audience Award" and the international competition offer a platform to the US market. Accreditaton fees for industry representatives are rather high. Especially foreign productions require intense press and marketing activities. The Sundance Online Festival is part of the main festival and one of the first film festivals with internet films and programs, inlcuding shorts, animation films and interactive works.
Awards
The winner of the short film competition automatically qualifies for the OSCAR competition for the Best Short Film.
