Skip City International D-Cinema Festival

About

The principal objective of the Festival is to encourage and contribute to the development of Digital Cinema and to cultivate filmmakers in Digital Cinema through international competitions, screenings and awards for digital filmmakers and their works.

Selected as one of the “50 UNMISSABLE FESTS” by Variety, SKIP CITY has been attended by thousands of filmmakers great and small. In 2012, 730 films were submitted from 84 countries and areas, reflecting the increasing worldwide-interest in SKIP CITY.

Rules

Feature Length Competition (International):

• Running time must be 60 minutes or longer.
• All submissions must be shot digitally and able to be projected in digital format.
• Production must be completed after January 1st, 2023
• Directors of feature length submissions cannot have more than three feature film directing credits, including documentaries, to their name(s). 
• Films cannot be released commercially in Japan prior to the closing date of the Festival.
• Subtitles language: english

Documents and Other Requisite Items

• Fill out entry form (online via Filmfreeway system or paper one via official site),
• Send DVD with submitted film by mail or send an online screener.

• All materials must be written in English or Japanese. Please send materials in either hard copy or digital form

  • Cast and Crew list
  • Biography and filmography of the director

Premiere Requirements

National premiere required.
