Sydney Short Film Festival is an independent film festival that focuses on putting the spotlight on short films — a category that unfortunately doesn’t get the mainstream attention it deserves. The festival attracts in particular classical and cult movies that goes well with its art deco cinema from the 1940s. Although this is an Australian film festival, it does accept submissions from around the world and encourages you to take the trip down-under to celebrate with your film.

Winners will receive custom-made awards including trophies, gift certificates and funding for upcoming film projects.

Rules

All films must either be dubbed in English or have English subtitles.
All films must be produced after 2023.
We retain no responsibility of copyright claims.
You allow us to promote your film and create promotional materials with your movie poster.
Short films must not be longer than 40 min (including credits).
