Years running: 20 (since 2005)
International Film Festival in Santiago.
About
Producers, directors, distributors, film critics, actors and audiences converge around the most recent and important local and international productions, giving Santiago and the whole country a unique context that is current, quality-controlled and thought for coming together. SANFIC8’s excellent results –great audience turn-up, international guests, quality and novelty of the films that were shown, wide press coverage, diversity of connected activities that resulted in large audiences– confirmed that SANFIC has become a referent for local and international cinematography: a cultural window through which Chile peeks and opens itself for the world to see. Parallel activities include panels, expositions and seminars in which renowned figures of the local and international film industry will speak. Also, there will be film screenings in different comunas (boroughs) of the capital and other cities.
