Realist Web Festival

About

Realist web fest — first Russian international web series festival with a competition of digital short series from Russia and other countries. 

The festival shows to participants and guests the best examples of the web series. The content completely new for Russia but very well known in the world, created especially for internet and limited only by ideas, desires and the courage of the creator. The main goal of the Realist web fest is to create the first place in Russia to show, watch and discuss this new but booming format, to give it a push and to become the center of its development in Russia — as a part of global industry.

To be a part of the professional society means to develop and promote the whole industry. Festival invites not only web series creators form Russia and other countries, but also digital-professionals from all over world — creators of international web festivals and online-platforms, producers, buyers and distributors, web-experts, directors, actors, writers — everyone who is interested in production and promotions of the web series.

Realist web fest starts the dialogue and cooperation with foreign creators and platforms, by showing the level of development and serious approach to the industry’s progress. 

Festival should become an annual event, uniting young, open-minded people and industry professionals.

Rules

• Web series produced in 2019-2021

The accompanying documents and materials for the official participant of the main Competition Program of the Festival include:

• Agreement that transfers the rights to public screening as part of the Festival’s events;
• Materials for the Festival’s catalog (a synopsis in English and/or Russian; a biography and a filmography of the director in English and/or Russian; a photo of the director; photographs or stills from the web series);
• A teaser and/or trailer for the purposes of promotion, advertising, and presentation;
• The submitted web series with English subtitles.
