About

The festival is very important for the critics and the Portuguese market. Fantasporto has developed into THE Portuguese festival. Critics consider the Portuguese festival to be interesting and diverse. Festival Director Mário Dorminski is also a distributor with good relations to Spanish broadcasters.

Awards

• OFFICIAL SECTION: Best Film, Best Direction, Best Actor/Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Special Effects, Special Jury Award, Best Short Fantasy Film, Melies d'Argent Award (Best European Fantasy Feature and Short Film);
• DIRECTORS' WEEK: Best Film, Best New Director, Best Screenplay, Special Jury Award, Best Actor/Actress;
• ORIENT EXPRESS: Best Film Award, Fantasporto Special Award.

Rules

• Produced between 2023-2024,
• For the competition no prior screening in Portugal.

Documents and Other Requisite Items

• The screeners and the entry form must be sent to the email info@fantasporto.com. The screeners should be sent using link with password, or through Vimeo.
• The submission can also be sent by mail. 

Additional Information

The festival will cover the transport expenses of the feature film prints, except when the films shall be sent to another Film Festival per request of the producer. Concerning the short films the transport of the prints must be covered by the producers/directors. The return will be paid by the festival.
