About
Play-Doc is an international documentary festival that aims to create access, exchange and
dialogue around this vital cinema. Each year Play-Doc screens a curated selection of essential
non-fiction films, presenting the latest trends from around the world to a large, enthusiastic and
diverse audience.
Play-Doc presents competitive and non-competitive programmes, as well as retrospectives of internationally acclaimed filmmakers. Parallel to the film programme, Play-Doc also offers seminars, masterclasses, live concerts and art exhibitions.
Play-Doc is also devoted to supporting young and talented filmmakers through the Play-Doc workshops, which focuses on creativity, experimentation and innovative methods of producing documentary.
Awards
All films selected for the competitive program are eligible for the best film award, decided by an international jury and consisting of 2.000€ + trophy.
