About
The International Film Festival "Piriápolis de Película" is an event that has consolidated itself as an essential space for the meeting of the independent production of national and international filmmakers. It is characterized by exhibiting, completely free of charge, a selection of outstanding audiovisual productions, short, medium and feature films of all genres. It also has an Iberoamerican Short Film Contest, whose objective is to stimulate and disseminate the production of short films in the region and the continent, adorned by an outstanding international jury.

Rules
For the Iberoamerican Competition, short films produced and made in Latin American countries, or Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries, can participate, even if they have production from other countries outside the continent, but the origin of the project and its realization must be in a Latin American country, or Spain and Portugal.
They must have been made as of January 1st, 2022 and in the following categories: Fiction, Documentary and Animation.
The maximum length accepted per film will be 15 minutes. The short films may not have been exhibited in previous editions of the festival and priority will be given to those that are national or regional premieres.
The productions may have been produced in any film or digital format, but must be presented for exhibition in the following formats: H264-stereo-1920x1080 or similar (MOV, MKV, MP4, AVI).
