Years running: 25 (since 2000)
International Film Festival.
About
The Ojai Film Festival offers residents and visitors an opportunity to celebrate the art of film in the uniquely inviting environment of the Ojai Valley.
Ojai is an ideal site for a film festival, both because of its exceptional natural beauty and it proximity to the filmmaking capital of the world. It is appropriate that a community noted for its strong commitment to supporting the arts, as reflected in the various arts-related events that take place here every year, should host an event dedicated to the celebration of the only truly new art form of the Twentieth Century.
The Film Festival brings to its audience a great diversity of unique motion pictures from around the world, including many groundbreaking works that would otherwise be inaccessible. At the same time, it provides a valuable service to filmmakers by giving them access to a highly appreciative audience of intelligent and informed film lovers.
