About

Molodist is a festival of young cinema with a lot of short student and experimental films. Interesting special programs and good opportunities to meet Eastern European filmmakers. Good national media coverage (TV and print). Especially the young audience is attracted by the festival; easy and friendly atmosphere. Although occasionally organizational difficulties occur, the festival offers its local and international visitors a good opportunity to screen current films from Eastern Europe.

Best Film Award in three categories (student/ short/full-length film): $2000 each

Rules

All films produced after the January 1, 2024 at professional studios or film schools.
Films that have been screened in Ukraine are not eligible for submission to the program.

Screening format: 35mm film print or DCP or BluRay or HD digital files

Directors, whose films have been selected for International full-length competition section, are invited as participants (travel expenses and 4 nights in HOTEL are covered by the festival).

Directors, whose films have been selected for International student or short International competition section are invited as participants (3 nights in HOTEL are covered by the festival).

Premiere Requirements

National premiere required.
