Years running: 19 (since 2006)
Leiden International Film Festival.
About
6 days, 150 productions, 7 venues and, in 2011, almost 25.000 visitors. Our Panorama programme includes a wide variety of films from all over the world, ten of which will compete for the award of the LFF — the Iron Herring. Our audience will hand out a prize of € 10.000. The second Iron Herring award is reserved for new Dutch talent, that will be chosen from our ‘Hollandse Nieuwe’ shorts competition.
The program consists of international premieres, new art-house cinema, retrospectives, a special selection of Eastern European and Asian cinema and many side programs such as workshops, lectures, concerts, exhibitions and parties.
