About
The Short Film Festival Cologne (KFFK) consists of a variety of programms. The main section, the GERMAN COMPETITION showcases the best of current German short film productions and co-productions. Further sections include the NEW AESTHETIC programme which traces digital tendencies in short films, as well as the FESTIVAL FOCUS and a REGIONAL FOCUS. Screenings and workshops specifically directed towards children complete the program.

- 1. Jury Award - 3.500 € awarded in cooperation with SK Stiftung Kultur

- Choices Audience-Award: 500 €

Rules
- Eligibility:
- German Competition: Only films with the production site located in Germany are admitted. German co-productions are also accepted
- Cologne Shorts: Films with production site located in Cologne are accepted
- New Aesthetic, 360°/VR, XXShorts & Shorts For Kids: international productions accepted
- The running length of the film should not be longer than 45 minutes and the date of completion should be in the year of the festival or in the prior year
- Only completed films may participate
- The submissions can only be made through the digital screener reelport or filmfestivallife
Screening copy: DCP, BluRay, 16mm & 35mm and in exceptional cases as DVD
Subtitles: German and English
