The festival aims to strengthen the film industry and film in mid-Norway, and contribute to innovation at the intersection of culture and commerce. In addition to being a festival, Kosmorama offers visitors exciting film and professional content. Curators will create their own sidebars together with a cutting edge main competition programme consisting all together of 70 films.

Rules

• The call for entries for the International New Directors Film Competition is open to works of any genre and language of feature film length (minimum 70 minutes);
• The film has to be the first, second or third feature film of the director;
• The film must have been completed after January 1st, 2019;
• Priority will be given to Nordic premieres.
• Entries must be submitted on DVD or Blu-Ray for our consideration. We will also accept online screeners.
• Included with the entry there should be high-resolution film stills, portrait of the director, director biography/filmography and a short synopsis of the film.

Screening Media Type: DCP. Other screening formats can be considered individually.
