About
It is a regional initiative, aiming to address industry professionals and people interested in film and cultural events, locally as well as nationally and internationally. It will focus on making a connection between the contemporary art of film and the existing traditions of the region. Through this agreement of both contrasts we want to bring a new creative and inspiring surrounding. The perspective on the town of Kitzbuehel, previously best known as a sports-and society mecca, a new cultural emphasis shall be opposed.
The Film Festival Kitzbuehel offers young and established filmmakers a platform where they find the opportunity for their works to be shown, discussed and promoted. In addition, it is our goal, to open new insights for the residents and visitors of Kitzbuehel not just through the newly created "young" film but more so, open a deeper insight into the history of film through our program of the "Retrospective". Through this stimulating, diverse and varied festival program a new annually repeating fixed date will be established in the town of Kitzbuehel.is a regional initiative, aiming to address industry professionals and people interested in film and cultural events, locally as well as nationally and internationally.
