About
The festival includes competitive, non-competitive and special screenings, round tables, press conferences, master classes and educational forums.
“Kinokavkaz” is a competition of short and full-length feature films, documentary television films, as well as social videos.
Our mission
Preservation and enhancement of the traditions of national culture in the field of cinema and cultural education of the Russian Federation.
The film festival is held with the aim of developing cultural exchange and creative cooperation between filmmakers from the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District and throughout Russia.
Awards
As a result of the jury voting, the winners in the following nominations are determined:
- "The best short feature Film";
- "Best Short TV Movie";
- "Best Animated Short Film";
- "The Best Documentary";
- "The best Social Video".
The winners receive a laureate diploma and a statuette for the best work in the nomination.
All festival participants admitted to the screening receive participant diplomas.
Rules
The film must meet the following requirements:
Timing:
- up to 40 minutes for short feature films and short animated films;
- up to 52 minutes for short television films and documentaries;
- Up to 10 minutes for social videos.
Movies must contain titles:
- the name of the film;
- information about the filmmakers and the creative team.
Russian Russian subtitles are required for films in any language other than Russian.
The author of the film has the right to use sponsored advertising in accordance with clause 5 of Article 14 of Chapter 2 of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation "On Advertising" dated 03/13.2006 No. 38-FZ;
Films whose production is completed no earlier than 2019 are allowed to participate
The film must have the following technical characteristics:
- video format – mp4, avi, wmv, mpg, mov;
- frame resolution of at least 1280×720 pixels;
- video bitrate is not more than 6000 kbit/sec;
- frame rate of at least 25 frames/sec;
- audio frequency of at least 44.1 kHz, stereo;
- audio bitrate is not more than 300 kbit/sec;
- other parameters are not regulated.
Each film can be submitted in only one nomination;
One participant can submit several works in different nominations, but the Organizing Committee reserves the right to accept them into the festival program.
The Selection Committee reserves the right to prevent films containing elements of violence, racial, national or religious intolerance, obscene language and other materials insulting human honor and dignity, as well as violating the legislation of the Russian Federation.
The age category corresponding to Chapter 2 of the Federal Law must be indicated in the film
"On the protection of children from information harmful to their health and development"

The Organizing Committee publishes all necessary information about the course of the Festival on the official website.
The Organizing Committee has the right to refuse to accept an application from a participant if the application form is filled out incorrectly or partially. Also, the reason for refusal to participate is a violation of one of the points of this provision. The Organizing Committee has the right to refuse to participate without explaining the reasons.
Films that have previously been shown in the programs of other festivals can participate in the competition.
Participation in the film festival and sending an application for participation presupposes agreement with all points of this Regulation.
