About

The festival is an annual event with an enthusiastic audience and a reliable organisation team. A thematic international package with retrospectives, seminars and panels run by Kerala's film academy with government support. The festival has a friendly atmosphere and attracts a certain number of international guests.

Rules

Restirctions

Competition Section Films : Films with a minimum length of 70 minutes produced or co produced in a country from Asia, Africa or Latin America in the last one year or which had its first theatrical screening after 1st September 2022 is eligible for applying to the competition section of the festival.

Films selected for International Competition should not have participated in any other International Film Festival competition in India.

Documents and Other Requisite Items

The DVD with English subtitles should reach the Academy before the above-mentioned date along with:

• A duly completed Entry Form (available on our website);
• For International Films an undertaking certifying the date of completion of the film or first theatrical screening. For Indian Films a CBFC Certificate or if that is not available  an undertaking on a Rs. 100/ Stamp Paper certifying date of completion of the film;
• Synopsis in English (soft copy);
• Press Book or Publicity Brochure (soft copy);
• Stills from the film & Director’s photograph (very essential) (soft copy);
• 6. Name, address, telephone, fax & e-mail of the person for correspondance.

Additional Information

The festival does not pay for transportation of any preview material. The transportation cost for the print is covered buy the festival.
