Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife

About

The idea to open this Janela Internacional de Cinema in Recife (Janela means “window” in Portuguese) came from several concerns. The first one was to have a forum in the state of Pernambuco that offered a generous look at independent film production in all its available formats, wherever it might come from. The audiovisual production today is in a state of constant mutation, not only thematically and aesthetically, but also because it is being built through ever changing concepts from a technical point of view. Our interest is to feature this cinema, thus opening multiple windows to it.

Awards

All films competing will be submitted to the vote of a jury composed of at least 3 professionals.
The event is opened to several partnerships, resulting in different awards that will be announced later on the website.

Rules

May compete in the International Competition:

• films of any genre produced in whatever format;
• films produced after January 2017;
• films up to 35 minutes long;
• films produced by foreigners or filmmakers living abroad;
• films that were not submitted in previous editions.

Documents and Other Requisite Items

• Fill out entry form;
• Entry will only be valid upon reception of a Vimeo or Youtube link and a password.
