About
Ismailia International Film Festival for documentary and short films takes place every year in Ismailia (Egypt) to promote an intercultural dialogue for a deeper understanding of others by presenting their creative works to the audience and to encourage filmmakers of documentary and short films. Films deepen our understanding of others’ different social visions, values, and thoughts.
The Ismailia International Film Festival For Documentaries and Shorts remained committed to showcasing important and significant documentaries and shorts in a celebration of cinema, creativity, and the undeniable influence of film.
Non – Competitive Sections: out of competition, Special Screenings, Tribute, other sections or screenings.
The Festival organizes encounters and debates between film-makers and the audience, journalists and professional. In addition the festival organizes film workshops in collaboration with other film festivals and professionals that provide opportunity for the young filmmakers to advance their experience and knowledge.

Rules
Participation is restricted to films that have been completed during the year that proceeds the year the festival takes place until the closing date.
Material required by the festival:
Formats: 35 mm, DCP, SP Beta, Digibeta, Blue Ray and DVD
Original version with English subtitles.
Prints are insured as long as they are in the festival possession.
