About

MY HERO is a not for profit educational web project that celebrates the best of humanity. Our mission is to enlighten and inspire people of all ages with an ever-growing internet archive of hero stories from around the world. MY HERO uses current web technologies to provide a unique educational experience that promotes media literacy and cross cultural communication, peace, human rights and environmental awareness. MY HERO invites visitors of all ages to create and submit short films about those who have inspired and touched their lives.

Awards

Awards will be given to all finalists. Winners will receive a prize.

Rules

• Work submitted to this film festival must celebrate a hero, explore concepts of heroism, or examine hero-related topics.
• Shorts: maximum 10 minutes.
• All footage, video graphics/pictures, and audio (including sound bites, music, etc.) MUST be original, unless you have the express written consent of the original owner for use in your work. We will not knowingly accept a movie that contains uncleared material.
• Submission is to be made via festival site online form or web platforms (Withoutabox or Filmfreeway)
