About

The Green Image Film Festival would like to be an opportunity for people to discover various challenges for recording, protecting and illuminating precious lives on earth through visual images. Then, we would also like to be an opportunity to discuss with the film makers and people engaged with environmental activity and audiences for transmitting the great nature environment on hand. 

WHAT IS GREEN IMAGE FILM FESTIVAL?

• A visual forum to think about the environment through moving images
• A festival to see the world’s best environmental fillms and to meet creative talents
• Broadening opportunities to encounter the environment issues
• Promoting environmental education for children and youth
• An expanding network inside and outside of Japan

Awards

• GREEN IMAGE Grand Prize (one award): 100 000 yen
• GREEN IMAGE Award: Memorabilia

Rules

• The entry film should be made after 2016.
• Any theme related to global environmental issues is acceptable. There is no limit on the year of film completion. There is no limit on duration of time of film.
• Entries must have been created for people of all generations, particularly children and youth on the theme of global environmental issues reflecting the purpose of GREEN IMAGE FILM FESTIVAL.
• Amateur films are also invited.
• No limits are placed on the location and nationality of filmmakers 
• Multiple entries are invited.

The following materials must bu sent:

• Filled in entry form
• 3 DVDs by post OR online screener link (downloadable file)
• Data of still pictures (more than 2)
• Data of English script with complete dialogue and narration
