Years running: 14 (since 2011)
Short Film Festival.
About
The festival focuses on short films as a means of reaching out to as many new producers as possible. Festival directors pride themselves on having some of the best breakout sessions available, and encourage producers to attend as many of these special work sessions as their schedules allow. The Downtown Tyler Film Festival began as the privately funded "No-Name Film Fest" in the fall of 2004. Adopted by the City of Tyler in 2011, the festival became known as the Downtown Tyler "Show your Shorts" Film Festival, and has remained true to its original mission of being dedicated to helping new film makers learn as much a possible in an honest and totally open format.
