International Documentary and Short Film Festival.

About

DokuFest aims to promote film production in Kosovo and to support film making in general. In co-operation with film institutions and other film festivals in the region DokuFest aims to enhance quality of film production in Kosovo and the region.

Program

  • BALKAN DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION: for documentaries from Balkan countries: (Kosova, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and Turkey);
  • INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION: for short and feature length documentaries from all countries of the world;
  • HUMAN RIGHTS COMPETITION: for short and feature length documentaries dealing with the issues of human rights;
  • GREEN DOC COMPETITION: for short and feature length documentaries dealing with problems as well as issues of protection of the environment;
  • SHORT FILM COMPETITION: for short fictions and animations from all countries of the world;
  • NATIONAL COMPETITION: for documentaries, short fictions and animations made in Albanian language and/or by filmmakers from Kosovo or co-produced with production companies from Kosovo;
  • SPECIAL PROGRAMMES: In addition to competitions festival presents a number of special presentations and thematically curated programs.

Rules

  • Submission of the festival is open for documentaries and fiction, animation and experimental short films.
  • Films can be submitted through FILMFREEWAY.
  • The applicant is requested to send the following: Synopsis of the film (in English), Dialogue list of the film (in English), Biography, filmography and a photo of the director, 3 to 5 high-resolution stills from the film (electronically), Trailer of the film, Full cast and credit list.
  • The Festival prefers to receive as much material as possible electronically. When no link is provided festival requires DVD (region 0 or 2) of the film to be sent.
