About

GZDOC, founded in 2003, is hosted China’s State General Administration of Press and Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SGAPPRFT) and the Government of Guangdong Province, and operated by Global Raytur International Public Communication Organization. After 10 years of development, GZDOC has grown from an academic seminar to a documentary conference and now the only professional documentary festival in China, just like a sapling growing into a big tree.

Rules

• Films  must be produced no earlier than January 1, 2020. 
• Only finished documentary films are acceptable. Those in the investigation, shooting or postproduction phases will be refused.
• Short: no longer than 30 minutes (including Opening Credits); Feature: longer than 30 minutes (including Opening Credits); Series: in three episodes (sets) or more that are inter-related.

All applicants shall go through the following:

• Fill out the online entry form;
• Upload Film stills in JPG format and Subtitle script or subtitle file.
• Send by mail the Film and Trailer in MP4 / MOV format, in digital DVD or USB disk; HD (720p or 1080p) version is preferred.

Hard copy of the materials: 

• A printed application form, 
• Three DVDs of the source file of the completed film and one DVD of the trailer in the format of MPEG/WMV/AVI/Mp4/MOV.
