The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival, as one of leading international
documentary film festivals in Asia, aims to provide opportunities for growing Korean
and Asian documentary filmmakers to have a field that cineastes and audience
together celebrate the festival through documentaries promoting peace, life and communication.

Asian Competition:
Asian Perspective Award with a cash prize of KRW 10,000,000.
Korean Competition:
Best Korean Documentary Award with a cash prize of KRW 10,000,000 and Special Jury Award with a cash prize of KRW 5,000,000.
Youth Competition:
Best Youth Documentary Award with a cash prize of KRW 1,000,000 and Excellence Youth Documentary Award with a cash prize of KRW 500,000.
