About
The Deep Fried Film Festival aims to develop the talent and skills of filmmakers, by encouraging better practises amongst filmmakers and increasing relationships between filmmakers and production organisations. By involving the local community, raising awareness of independent film and creating film making opportunities the Deep Fried Film Festival intends to help filmmakers get access to necessary practical and theoretical resources, filmmakers realise their abilities and promote themselves to a larger audience.
In 2017 the festival accepts films in following categories: Comedy, Horror/Thriller, Drama, Documentary, Animation, Kid Friendly (Films that are appropriate for a screening for 5yrs and up), Sci Fi, Action, Music (Short music performance videos), Other
Awards
Each year organizers allocate awards to films that have stood out in one way or another. They use audience feedback and the opinions of our sponsors to determine these awards.
Rules
Films must be in English or Subtitled in English. Subtitles must be burnt onto video track - Sorry but it makes it a pain otherwise.
No pornographic or illegal films.
