About

Since 2003, Cinedans has been the most important platform for dance film in the Netherlands. With Cinedans TOUR, Cinedans LAB, the online festival Cinedans WEB, and the annual festival Cinedans FEST, the platform has established itself as a global player. 

From March 25th to March 29th 2026, Cinedans FEST returns to Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam with a rich and international film program that brings together the beauty of dance and the power of film! In more than forty programs, Cinedans presents the most urgent, poetic, and groundbreaking dance films of the moment: from international shorts to feature films, documentaries, specials, installations, and VR. Can't join Cinedans FEST? Don't worry!

Cinedans continues online with Cinedans WEB, our online festival. From March 26th to April 5th, parallel to the festival in the cinema, you can enjoy an even wider selection of films at home, along with exclusive online programs. With the online pass, you can watch whenever and wherever you want— and as much as you want. Check out the full WEB program here.

Rules

Restirctions

• Work not older than 3 years,
• films with a clear connection to dance, choreography or movement,
• max. 3 submissions per filmmaker.

Documents and Other Requisite Items

• Submit your film by filling out our entry form;
• Provide an online link to view the film in the entry-form (and password, if applicable); 
• Upload a film-still (preferably .jpg);
• Pay the entry-fee via PayPal or bank (for details see below);
• Check if you received the confirmation email.

Note: If you have no online preview link for the film, you can send the film with Wetransfer or dropbox to entry@cinedans.nl or via post to our office at Entrepotdok 4, 1018 AD Amsterdam.
