About
The Braunschweig Filmfest is a popular audience festival which is frequently utilized by arthouse distributors as a platform for pre-premieres of upcoming highlights. While the Heinrich Award, including prize money in the amount of Euro 10,000 is highly coveted, press response is primarily regional. The festival is well established and audience-oriented. Focus: European films, German-French exchange, film music, previews and films without German distributors.

Rules
- For short films a running time of less than 15 minutes and for all feature films or documentaries a running time of at least 70 minutes is required. Submission is open to all film genres and no limitations are set on content;
- The film must not have been theatrically released, broadcasted on television in Germany or be available on the internet or as DVD/BluRay and must be completed no earlier than January 1, 2022.
