About

Since its foundation in 2005, thanks to the cultural profile of the extremely rich programme and the consistency of the inspiring theme, Biografilm Festival achieved a critical success and an enthusiastic audience response. Over 40,000 people attended the eighth edition of Biografilm Festival for 11 days, with more than 100 screenings, 4 venues, 200 events and 100 international guests. During the eleven days, Biografilm has had the pleasure to host a continuosly growing community of filmmakers, actors, producers, screenwriters, directors sharing their passion and expertise in creating both visual and literary biographies and life tales. The Festival also promotes tributes to directors who, with their work, have contributed to the development of the biographic genre, and schedules national and international premieres of brand new films, along with related special events, thematic programmes and retrospectives.

Rules

• Any international and Italian documentary films, receiving their Italian premiere, with a running time of 50 minutes or more and were completed after the first of January 2023.
• Submissions are only accepted through the Festhome.
• Subtitles language: English

Premiere Requirements

National premiere required.
