Years running: 11 (since 2014)
International Short Fiction Film Festival.
About
Bašta Fest is an international short fiction film festival held in Bajina Bašta. Due to the profession of the founders (actors Jovan Jelisavčić and Maja Šuša), the festival focuses on the collaboration between directors and actors. We believe that in the future, the focus on quality of that collaboration will have a positive impact on the positioning Bašta Fest among short film festivals.
Our primary goal is to convert this festival into a cultural oasis, which primarily promotes local and international young artists, putting emphasis on short fiction films with authenticity.
All screenings at Bašta Fest are free and are held under the night sky. There are currently two locations: the park Borići and the lake Perućac. The noncompetitive part of the program has two films at the opening and closing ceremony; a closing film is the Serbian debut feature film, that was most successful in that year, chosen by Bašta fest team.
