Alena and Pasha’s passionate relationship is suddenly broken off when Pasha notices that one of Alena’s ankles is larger than the other. To save their prospects of staying together, Alena finds herself on the operating table. The doctor, preoccupied with more serious duties than an ankle, takes off a little more than needed. Pasha is again disappointed. Now the other must be trimmed. Her ankles are finally the same and happiness is at hand, but a new trial is in store for Alena.
