Biography
Roman Artemiev was born in 1980, city Glazov (Russia). Studied in VGIK (Russian university of cinematography). The best man's role at festival VGIK (short film "Walk"). Film is the prize-winner of festivals Svyataya Anna, Karlovy Vary, "Beginning", VGIK, Lodz, Student Academy nomination. As an actor played roles in Slava Rоss film "the Stupid fat rabbit", Marina Razbezhkina "Yar", Genady Sidorov "Apostle", Andrey Eshpaj "Ivan Groznyj", Nikolay Dostal "Peter on road to a kingdom of heaven".

Directors Statement
The script for "Mushrooming" was part of my drama feature script. However, it was a difficult year and I didn't want to dramatize everything at all. There was one scene in the script itself, which was rather laconic, and I decided not to wait for funding which might never happen. I took an episode from the script and slightly changed the accents. Initially, there was a metaphorical story of "Crime and Punishment", but after the shift in emphasis, the story acquired a comical character. I immediately started filming. Now I am very glad that I made the changes. Because you can wait for years for funding or you can extract a short story from the script and present it to the viewer.
