His father-in-law brings Sergei to the forest. He is going to kill Sergei, as he cheats on his daughter. Sergei asks for mercy and admits that he once used a Chinese aphrodisiac, and that one is still in effect. Women just fall in love with him. The father-in-law does not believe, but he does not dare to kill him. He ties Sergey to a tree and goes away. Unfortunately, for Sergei, mushroom pickers are walking through the forest. When the father-in-law returns for Sergey, he will be extremely surprised.
Directors Statement
The script for "Mushrooming" was part of my drama feature script. However, it was a difficult year and I didn't want to dramatize everything at all. There was one scene in the script itself, which was rather laconic, and I decided not to wait for funding which might never happen. I took an episode from the script and slightly changed the accents. Initially, there was a metaphorical story of "Crime and Punishment", but after the shift in emphasis, the story acquired a comical character. I immediately started filming. Now I am very glad that I made the changes. Because you can wait for years for funding or you can extract a short story from the script and present it to the viewer.
