International Film Festival in Tupelo.

About

Objective:

  • To offer filmmakers a venue to screen their independent films;
  • To provide a venue for filmmakers to network;
  • To provide the audience an opportunity to see independent films;
  • To showcase our city to filmmakers;
  • To provide educational opportunities for those interested in developing their skills through workshops, panel discussions and forums.

Awards

TUPELO FILM FESTIVAL AWARDS for each category: Feature, Documentary, Shorts, and Music Video

STUDENT AWARDS - DOMESTIC ONLY - NO FOREIGN FILMS ACCEPTED 
College students currently enrolled with a minimum of 9 hours of college credits are eligible for these additional awards.

MISSISSIPPI HIGH SCHOOL FILM COMPETITION 
Monetary awards are split equally between the Mississippi High School filmmaker and the school sponsor. ($1200 in cash prize and awards!)

  • 1st place $600
  • 2nd place $200
  • 3rd place $100
  • Audience Award $300 - goes to the filmmaker and will not be split with sponsor

 

Rules

  • It is permissible for film entries to have entered or won other contests.
  • Submission is to be made via Filmfreeway.

Categories & Fees

Film must not exceed 10 minutes.

  • Deadline — $10
  • Regular Deadline — $10

Foreign category include all genres (shorts, features, documentaries, music videos and student).

  • Deadline — $30
  • Regular Deadline — $30

Film must be a minimum of three minutes, but must not exceed 90 minutes for a feature, 60 minutes for documentary, and 45 minutes for a short. College students currently enrolled with a minimum of 9 hours of college credits at a university located in the USA are eligible for entry.

  • Deadline — $30

Must be under 8 minutes.

  • Deadline — $25
  • Regular Deadline — $25

Documentary films must not exceed 60 minutes.

Short film entry must not exceed 45 minutes.
