International Mountain and Adventure Film Festival.

About

Torello’s International Festival of Mountain and Adventure Films, now entitled Unnim Mountain Film Festival, is one of the most important festivals of its kind in the world. Each year the best films from around the world relating to mountains and mountain culture are screened and entered into competition. The wide range of thematic possibilities stipulated in the Festival rules means that over the ten day period of the festival many different kinds of films are shown; including films about expeditions, nature documentaries, adventure sports, documentaries about ecology etc,.

Awards

  • Grand Prize “VILA DE TORELLÓ”, Edelweiss of gold and 3.000 euros to the best film,
  • Prize BBVA, Edelweiss of silver and 1.200 euros to the best mountain film,
  • Prize GrandValira, Edelweiss of silver and 1.200 euros to the best mountain sports film,
  • Best film about Mountain Culture - Edelweiss of silver and 1.200 euros to the best film about mountain environment,
  • Prize FEDME. Jury Prize, Silver Edelweiss and 1.200 euros. 

Special Prizes:

  • Prize BOREAL and Edelweiss of silver to the best script,
  • Prize FEEC and Edelweiss of silver to the best photography,
  • "Cervesa del Montseny" Award. Silver Edelweiss for the best short film, as voted for by the audience, in the +Xtrem section of mountain sports.
  • Mountain Wilderness Award to the film that best stands out the protection of natural spaces.

Rules

TOPICS. Any topic connected with the mountains.
The following will not be accepted:

  • Films entered in other editions of the Festival or films made before 2016;
  • Films with which people or bodies connected in any way whatsoever with the Organisers have collaborated;
  • Unfinished films.

The films not dubbed or subtitled in Catalan or Spanish must be accompanied by a copy of their script in English or French.

Documents and Other Requisite Items

  • Fill out entry form,
  • The films should be sent in DVD format or by e-mail (We Transfer, Vimeo, Dropbox or similar). 

Subtitles language: Catalan, Spanish
