About
Accepting full-length features, short films and documentaries from professionals and amateurs alike, SohoFilmFest will hold screenings, panels and host social events and other networking opportunities for everyone involved. Leading figures from all disciplines of the film industry including distributors and media will be in attendance.
The festival has grown steadily each year, attracting an increasing number of independent filmmakers and films from all over the world. The festival attracted hundreds of submissions this year from around the world, which chose 65 films in categories ranging from documentaries and shorts, to features and special screenings. The program featured films from the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Australia, Israel, Kenya, Japan, Spain, Turkey, and Bangladesh, and included 11 World Premieres and 33 New York Premieres.

Short Films from other countries outside the US that are 25 minutes or below of any style and topic. We will accept films that are two years old or less and are looking for premieres. This category is in competition.
Narrative feature films from around the world, outside the US, that are 60 minutes or more of any style and genre. We will accept films that are a year old or less and we are looking for Premieres. Projects may have distribution. This category is in competition.
Documentary Feature Films from around the world that are 50 minutes or more of any style and genre. We are looking for Premieres. Projects may have distribution. This category is a competition.
