New Harvest

About

New Harvest Film Festival is a festival dedicated to the development of young and independent filmmaking in Russia. We are looking for new authors from all over the world and do our best to let their movies meet a large Russian audience. For some of the films we propose further producer promotion.

New Harvest Film Festival will take place for the 3rd time in Moscow, Russia and for the first time will include International contest apart from the National one. The event with Live screenings and official Award ceremony will take place in one of the beautiful open-air parks of Moscow at the end of summer, 2019 and will also have some additional indoor screenings in autumn, 2019.

Besides the Main competition covering short films up to 30 minutes there is an Online-contest for the categories not presented in the Main competition where one can submit his full-length film (feature, documentary, animation) / public service announcement / music video/ videoart or experimental film and even poster. For each category the winners are defined.
 
Live screenings are guaranteed for short film category. The screenings of other categories are optional. They may happen separately from the main Event or can be a part of Online contest and Official live Award ceremony.

Awards

The winners get a special Cup, a Diploma, a Branded mug and additional gift packages varying upon a year.

All official selection and semi-finalists also get diplomas and laurels by e-mail.

Rules

• The main competition of the festival is devoted to short films up to 30 minutes and includes 3 sections: National Contest, International Contest, National Debut Contest.
• Internatinal Contest consists of short films up to 30 minutes from all over the world with English subtitles (if necessary). It includes live-action, documentary and animation.
• National Contest consists of short films in Russian up 30 minutes (live-action only).
• National Debut Contest consists of short films in Russian up to 30 minutes (live-action only) which are an author's 1st or 2nd project shot on his own money (without financial support of third parties).

Requirements:

• No premiere status required, no production date limits.
• -By submitting a project all participants confirm their rights reserved. 
• English subtitles are necessary for films which are not in Russian.

Besides the Main competition covering short films up to 30 minutes there is also an Online contest for the rest of the categories not presented in the main program where one can submit his full-length film up to 120 minutes (feature, documentary, animation) / public service announcement / music video / videoart or experimental film / ad video and even poster. For each category the winners are defined as well.

Jury and Organizers

В 2019 году почётным членом жюри кинофестиваля «Новый Урожай» является известный российский кинорежиссёр и продюсер Александр Войтинский — автор фильмов «Ёлки», «Чёрная молния», «Призрак»; продюсер и основатель музыкальных групп «Тату» и «Звери».

Также традиционным жюри основной конкурсной программы кинофестиваля «Новый Урожай» являются зрители. Для Международного и Дебютного блока короткометражных фильмов, а также для Онлайн-конкурса предусмотрено дополнительно выделенное жюри из профессиональной среды кинематографистов, мнение которого будет учитываться при определении призовых мест.
