Movies That Matter Festival

About

Since this festival’s first edition in 2006, the number of movies made about situations in which human rights are being violated and human dignity is at stake has risen considerably. The founding of Movies that Matter created a new platform on which the human rights movies and the increasing public interest in them can be brought together. This covers national programmes, among which an education programme, a monthly national On Tour programme and an annual film festival in The Hague, as well as international projects.

Rules

• Movies that Matter only accepts films that deal with human rights related issues.
• Documentaries and feature films finalized in 2024, 2025 are eligible to submit.

• Shorts are allowed to submit, but be aware that we cooperate with GoShort Nijmegen and you can also submit with them www.goshort.nl. 

Documents and Other Requisite Items

• Fill out entry form,
• Send DVD with submitted film by mail or online link.
