ShorTS International Film Festival
International Short Film and Debut Work Festival.
About
Marathon of screenings, as well as meetings with actors and directors, special events, workshops, discussions, cocktails and happening with the protagonists of Italian and foreign film-making. All these features will represent for sure a big attraction for the public and tourists who will choose to spend some summer days in Trieste, taking the advantages of a vacation based on entertainment and culture.
The Festival is divided in two competitive sections:
- Maremetraggio Section,
- Last Chance Section.

Maremetraggio Section:
- Best Short Film Award — € 5000
- Best Italian Short Film Award
- Best Animation Short Film Award
- Award for Best Italian Short Film
- Audience Award to the Best Short Film
- Critics’ Choice Award for Best Short Film
- Best Italian production Award
Virtual Reality Section
- Best Virtual Reality Short
SweeTS4Kids Section
- Best Short Film
The jury reserves the right to assign honorable mentions.
The short films participating in the Web Initiative on the Internet will compete for an eventual Web Audience’s Award.
Rules
- All submitted works must not exceed 20 minutes in terms of length (titles included) and must have been produced after the January, 2023.
- Fill out entry form, or submit via Festhome or Filmfreeway.
- Subtitles language: English and/or Italian

This section accepts every genre of shorts dedicated to kids from 6 to 15 years old. All submitted works must not exceed 15 minutes in terms of length (titles included) and must have been produced after the January, 2020.

This section is reserved for short films that won one or more prizes in one or more international festivals during 2020. All submitted works must not exceed 20 minutes in terms of length (titles included)

This section includes films that did not won any Award. Submitted films must not exceed 10 minutes (titles included) and must have been produced after January, 2020. All genres are eligible. Ten selected films from this section will be included in the Maremetraggio Section of the Festival and will be eligible for its Awards and prizes.
