About
The Siberia Fulldome Festival opens submissions for fulldome films, lectures and performances worldwide.
Fulldome cinematography is one of the youngest and fastest growing areas of cinematography. The fulldome cinematography is the reason why planetariums have become the centers of many sciences. Fulldome films tell not only about space, but about physics, biology, art and other parts of knowledge.
The Siberia Fulldome Festival has the mission: to create conditions for international cooperation between creators, to popularize scientific knowledge among viewers, to discuss topical problems of fulldome cinematography, to encourage the creators of fulldome films, to develop professional skills and to involve young filmmakers in this field.
The festival will include several events: a Film Contest, Immersive Works Contest, Lecturer Contest and a Conference for the creators of fulldome and VR content.
FULLDOME FILM CONTEST. We accept only films made after 2019 year. Debut works will be rated in special nomination.
LECTURER CONTEST. We expect lecturers who work in planetariums. You can demonstrate space object in realtime and tell about astronomy and cosmonautics.
IMMERSIVE WORKS CONTEST. We accept immersive perfomances where used fulldome screen and scene, the viewer is involved in action. Theaters and planetariums can participate.
Siberia Fulldome Festival will take place in Novosibirsk, Russia on September 13-16, 2022. The Grand Novosibirsk Planetarium is the organizer of the festival. It is supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

Rules
All films entered into the Festival must have been completed on or after 1 January 2019 to be eligible for entry into the festival.
Fulldome film submissions are split into two categories:
Feature Films (16-60 minutes duration)
Short Films (maximum 15 minutes duration)
The Lecture Contest accepts entries for real-time lectures about astronomy and astronautics. Duration no more than 20 minutes.
Immersive Works Contest. Submission is open for 1) children’s theatrical performances (for children 4-12 years old); 2) game program for children 4-12 years old 3) theatrical performance for adults (16+);
Duration no more than 50 minutes.
By submitting an entry to the Festival, each participant will be taken by The Grand Novosibirsk Planetarium to:
A) irrevocably and unconditionally grant to The Grand Novosibirsk Planetarium a non-exclusive and royalty-free license to do all things necessary to consider the relevant film for screening at the Festival in Novosibirsk and (if selected by jury) screen the film at the Festival, including but not limited to making a copy of the film.
B) provide the text of the screenplay to create subtitles or translation.
C) consent to The Grand Novosibirsk Planetarium advertising the screening of the film, poster, trailer on its website, social media and in publicity materials. Each production will be credited to the copyright holder (as advised by the participant) during any screening at the Festival.
D) The participant agrees that the Grand Novosibirsk planetarium makes a profit from the sale of tickets to the festival, in which the competitive work will be shown. The profit generated allows to cover the costs of organizing the festival.
The organizer of the festival has the right to approve or reject the application after reviewing it. The organizer notifies the participant about the approval or rejection of the application by e-mail.
By submitting an entry to the Festival, each participant will be taken by The Grand Novosibirsk Planetarium to represent and warrant to The Grand Novosibirsk Planetarium that it is entitled to use and deal with any intellectual property rights in the film, including grant the license to The Grand Novosibirsk Planetarium described above, and that the use by The Grand Novosibirsk Planetarium of the film (including screening at the Festival) will not infringe the third party rights of any person, including but not limited to copyright and/or moral rights.
