IFFBoston showcases approximately 100 films, holds nightly parties, daily panel discussions, and has an awards ceremony where 7 or more prizes are given out at values up to $20,000. In 2003 there were 10,000 attendees and 10 sold out shows. By 2010, festival'd steadily grown to 23,000 attendees, making IFFBoston the highest attended film festival in New England by a wide margin.

IFFBoston has awarded over $20,000 worth of prizes to winning films in its previous festivals, including professional services, software packages, and film gear from sponsors including Avid and Panavision.
